Smooth and Synchronized Operation:
LabelOn™ Basic 500 – Vacuum Wrap
Our Vacuum Wrap system is optimized for challenging labeling scenarios, particularly where standard wrap belts struggle. It offers advanced control and accuracy with capabilities to fully dispense labels onto a vacuum belt before the labels contacts the product, allowing for smoother application and more precise label positioning.
Most of the time, this system is chosen for long wrap-around labels that cover more than 85% of a product’s circumference. With standard wrap belts, longer labels tend to droop or skew toward the end of application—especially as the label detaches further from its backing. The vacuum wrap belt supports the full length of the label as it dispenses ensuring that the label remains at a constant vertical height and is held flat on the vacuum wraps as it is applied.
Often the Vacuum Wrap is used for moderately tapered round containers. Because the label is fully dispensed and laid flat on the vacuum belt before application, it can be pre-shaped during printing to compensate for the container’s taper. This allows the label to slide into place during transfer so that, once applied, its top and bottom edges maintain a consistent height from the base of the container. This level of alignment is difficult to achieve when the label is still being peeled from the roll as it wraps.
Additionally, the Vacuum Wrap is used for front-and-back labeling from a single label roll. The vacuum belt transports labels at a higher speed than the product conveyor, allowing a second label to “catch up” and apply accurately to the back of the spinning product. With precise control over spacing and timing, the system enables reliable two-label application without requiring dual applicators.
The label head is powered by a stepping motor (or servo motor, depending on configuration). Labeling speed is digitally synchronized with both the vacuum wrap belt and product conveyor. An adjustable-speed conveyor allows the machine to seamlessly integrate into your existing production line.
Flexible and User-Friendly:
An optional clear label gap sensor for transparent labels. Intuitive adjustments and settings can be easily saved and recalled via the menu recipe system. Suitable for a variety of bottle sizes and production environments.
Labeling Tapered Round Products
When labeling tapered round products, the label must be designed with a slight curve—similar to a smile—so that, once applied, the label’s top and bottom edges remain level at the same height around the container. This ensures a clean, professional appearance and consistent label positioning despite the container’s tapered shape.
